NPC Seeks Privacy Resiliency for the Country

Last Thursday, National Privacy Commission (NPC) chairman Raymund Enriquez Liboro said that his agency is working towards building data privacy resiliency in the public and private sectors, as well as establishing trust with stakeholders.

Liboro defined “privacy resiliency” as the ability of an entity to prevent privacy risks from coming to fruition by being aware of threats and risks, and having the readiness to quickly and efficiently respond to mitigate damage caused by privacy violations.

He added that in exploring the concept, the NPC seeks to also add to the global discourse on data privacy and security.
