Oculus Adds Privacy Center to Comply with GDPR

Oculus, the Facebook-owned VR company, recently announced that it has created a “My Privacy Center” where users can see all the data collected from them by the company. It will officially be launched on May 20th, just a little before the EU’s GDPR will take effect.

However, Oculus associate general counsel Jenny Hall says that the move will not change how they use data. Rather, the tweaks to how the company explains and organizes rules are only intended to provide greater transparency,

Oculus did mention that it shares “limited” information to Facebook, such as accounts flagged for abuse or spam. It was also pointed out that the company does not have a strict policy as to what data it might collect in the future.
