03 May Cambridge Analytica Shuts Down After Facebook Privacy Scandal
British data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica has announced this week that it will be shutting down amid the privacy scandal involving US tech giant Facebook.
The embattled UK firm said that it had been a victim of unfounded accusations and vilified for activities that are not only legal, but also considered a standard in the online advertising industry.
The company also blamed the media for driving away all its customers and suppliers, leaving it no other choice but to shutter all operations. It maintained, however, that its employees have acted ethically and lawfully, which is supported in the report published by independent investigator Julian Malins.
