Cisco Report Says Data Privacy Impacts Business Outcomes

In its 2019 Data Privacy Benchmark Study, networking giant Cisco said that businesses should consider data privacy compliance and implementation as an opportunity to grow their business, rather than an added cost.

In a study involving more than 3,200 global security and privacy professionals around the world, it was highlighted that around 97 percent of businesses reported gaining auxiliary benefits from their privacy investments, including competitive business advantage.

Cisco also emphasized that data privacy impacts a business’ sales process directly, with most organizations often encountering delays due to customer data privacy concerns.
