EU’s Privacy Flag Offers Free Cyber Protection Tools to the Public

The Privacy Flag, an EU-backed project, recently established a user friendly monitoring system which includes free tools such as a smartphone application, a browser add-on and a public website in six European languages.

The evaluation tools, which also includes an automatic breach alert feature, has been made freely available to the public on the Privacy Flag website.

The project was developed with the help of an expert from the University of Bristol Law School who was involved in creating the Universal Privacy Risk Area Assessment Methodology which is used to check the compliance of apps, websites and Internet of Things deployment with EU, Swiss and US data protection laws.
