20 Jul Former Compliance Exec’s Startup Offers Privacy Tool for Managing Customer Data
DPOrganizer, a Swedish startup, announced this week a Series A extension round of €3 million, led by US investor Paladin Capital Group.
Ex-compliance executive at iZettle Egil Bergenlind said that he co-founded the company after failing to find a product that would help him store and manage customers’ personal data. Because of this, he and his two future co-founders, Sebastian Norling and Andreas Yannelos, developed a workflow tool that would help privacy professionals map, document and share their customers’ personal details.
Bergenlind says that since its debut in 2016, DPOrganizer’s SaaS-tool has been used in 16 markets by companies scrambling to comply with GDPR, a framework that didn’t even exist when the startup was founded.
