GoDaddy Internal Info Exposed by AWS Error

UpGuard revealed last Thursday that a set of sensitive documents belonging to popular hosting company GoDaddy had been left exposed due to a misconfigured AWS bucket.

The security firm’s Cyber Risk Team said that the information that had been left public includes GoDaddy’s architecture and high-level configuration information. The exposed cache also included configuration files for hostnames, operating systems, workloads, AWS regions, memory, CPU specifications, and more.

The breach was discovered by UpGuard on June 19, but GoDaddy reportedly took 1 month to fix the issue.
