06 Nov Microsoft CEO Vows Not to Monetize Personal Data
In a recent interview with The London Times, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the company will not use the personal data of its customer for profit.
Nadella elaborated that they do not want to overmonetize, and in fact, one of the things that they’ve done is to ensure that utility is maximized for users.
Echoing Apple’s Tim Cook, Nadella called data privacy a “human right”. However, it was also noted that Microsoft has, and is gathering data via LinkedIn which already has 562 million users worldwide, while Bing is also the third largest search engine worldwide.
