01 Sep New Version of CCLeaner Launched with Clearer Privacy Options
Piriform, an Avast company, recently launched a new version of its popular system cleaning software CCleaner with improved privacy options.
The company rolled out 5.46 after the previous version was met with consumer backlash for not giving free users any privacy options and keeping the Active Monitoring Component enabled all the time.
The new version gives back free users all the privacy options and allows them to opt-out of data collection. A data factsheet is also provided to inform users what kind of data non user-specific data is being collected.
