15 May NPC Chief Launches Privacy Awareness Week
National Privacy Commissioner Raymund Enriquez Liboro recently highlighted the importance of protecting the personal data of Filipinos in the wake of recent privacy issues that had hit the fast food industry of the Philippines.
Inviting businesses, government and civil organisations to participate in the upcoming Privacy Awareness Week (PAW), Liboro also emphasized that the best way to combat data threats would be to act on it as a community, which is what the event seeks to foster.
The 2-day summit bearing the theme “Protecting the Filipino’s Right to Data Privacy”, will be held at the Philippine International Convention Centre (PICC) on 28 – 29 May 2018.
