21 Sep NPC Orders ABS-CBN to Address Breach ASAP
National Privacy Commission chief Raymund Enriquez Liboro said Wednesday that he has ordered ABS-CBN to immediately fix the data breach affecting their online stores.
Netherlands-based security consultant and researcher Willem de Groot revealed this week that websites store.abs-cbn.com and uaapstore.com were affected by a skimmer malware which intercepted customer payment details and sent them to a server in Russia.
Enriquez said that the broadcaster’s DPO sent them a breach notice at 12:37 last Wednesday. The company confirmed that 213 customers had been affected by the breach.
