Singapore Unveils Two New Data Privacy Research Centers


The National Research Foundation Singapore (NRF) recently set up two new research centers dedicated to the development of privacy-focused technologies, in support of Singapore’s privacy-aware smart nation initiative.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) Centre for Research in Privacy Technologies (N-CRiPT) in the NUS School of Computing will be developing protection and privacy-preserving solutions for structured and unstructured data.

Meanwhile, the Strategic Centre for Research in Privacy-Preserving Technologies & Systems (SCRIPTS) in the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) will be focusing on the preservation of privacy for individual data while allowing useful analyses through various mathematical and theoretical models.
